Senior Media Buyer/Strategist


Ensure the success of every Retail Demand Team campaign for AerServ and its clients.

Job Description:

Media Buyers/Strategists (MBS) are a crucial component of AerServ’s Retail Demand Team (RDT) business.  The MBS will be responsible for planning, negotiating and executing digital media plans. You will work closely with the RDT’s sales and operations staff to create effective media strategies for AerServ clients, owning the final product delivered to potential customers.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Lead digital media planning with direct responsibility for planning all aspects of digital campaigns
  • Create, present, and support your digital campaign recommendations and strategies to RDT to create holistic and integrated digital media plans for client presentation
  • Ultimate ownership for RDT campaign strategies and RFP product
  • Ensure RFIs and RFPs are handled and delivered back to retail sales reps accurately and in a timely manner
  • Purchase the correct inventory at the correct price to successfully hit campaign delivery, KPIs, and profit margin goals
  • Regularly pull campaign reports, monitor metrics, evaluate for delivery and performance
  • Work with internal teams on campaign adjustments and optimizations towards campaign success and KPIs
  • Using multiple sources of external data, perform campaign analysis directly relevant to, and to assist in, optimizations, planning, and/or buying decisions
  • Create data driven strategies and media plans using multiple data points – ad server, historical data, demographic data, segmentation data, real time data
  • Create and communicate POV reports
  • Study demographic data/consumer profiles to identify desired target audiences for online advertising and how those match up to DMP data audience segments
  • Organize and maintain all media buying materials in a central location for future campaigns
  • Maintain strong, professional relationships with clients
  • Proactively monitor mobile landscape and identify trends/partners for upcoming campaigns
  • Handle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines under pressure
  • Vigorously review all work to ensure highest quality standards
  • Educate and train team members and media planners


  • Interactive media knowledge and experience is preferred (education or practical experience)
  • Ability to work with the internal teams to solve problems
  • Solid grasp of interactive media, including various pricing models, targeting technologies, and ad serving
  • Strong long-distance communication skills using email, instant messenger platforms, and phone
  • High technical aptitude for learning and working within desktop and web-based applications (Windows, Microsoft Office, DSPs, ad exchanges)
  • Ability to calculate and analyze data based on standard digital advertising cost-per metrics (CPM, CPP, CPCV, etc.)
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and multitasking ability
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively under tight deadlines; strong sense of urgency
  • Personality to work effectively within a fast-moving environment and with many different types of people
  • Strong business acumen and problem-solving abilities
  • Self-starter with strong motivation and a team-player mentality
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
