Position = Senior JAVA Engineer

Job Description:

AerServ is seeking a Senior JAVA Engineer for its growing business. The ideal candidate should work well in a collaborative, open environment, while also having the ability to work independently regularly –able to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines. They should have a passion for programming and have a good understanding of why things work vs. just getting things to work.


  • Develop and deploy next-gen mobile software and applications, respecting demands of high scalability and high availability architecture
  • Maintain existing web applications by regular refactoring and applying requested fixes and features
  • Responsible for unit test, integration testing, refactoring and code reviews
  • Work within a fast-paced agile development process

Job Requirements:

  • 5+ years of JAVA Software Development experience
  • Strong Java/JEE development skills
  • String knowledge of CS fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, Object Oriented design
  • Excellent design and engineering skills with the ability to write efficient, high quality code in a fast paced environment
  • Experience writing multi-threaded and/or distributed applications using Java
  • Experience working in a UNIX/LINUX environment
  • Experience with databases, preferably MySQL
  • Experience with new feature design and development
  • Experience with SaaS a plus
  • Experience deploying best-practice/enterprise-standard procedures
  • Extensive experience in design and implementation of scalable multi-process back-end systems

Your Requirements:        

  • Bachelor’s degree in CS, Engineering, or comparable
  • Proven results oriented person with a delivery focus – especially in the areas of writing high-performance, scalable, reliable and maintainable software
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Superior creative and innovative problem-solving skills
  • Initiative and the ability to work independently and in a team

Bonus Points to those that have experience with:

  • The advertising industry, preferably mobile advertising
  • Building mobile apps (iOS or Android)
  • Big data

Hiring Process
