According to a study by eMarketer, “By 2020, 77.0% of mobile phone users and nearly 64% of the U.S. population will play games on their phone at least once per month.” This partnership equips WildTangent with AerServ’s unique monetization tools while also exposing their inventory to thousands of brand advertising campaigns, allowing marketers to execute their ad campaigns on premium, brand-safe, viewability- and fraud-free inventory.
Before AerServ, WildTangent utilized a homegrown solution for monetization. This solution yielded mixed eCPMs, would frequently show ads from competitors’ games and required their own development resources to build out necessary features. WildTangent’s team sought a better solution, one that would enable them to easily integrate rewarded video, demand partners via VAST & VPAID, and offer transparent insights into their monetization. WildTangent also wanted a partner that would work closely with them, not just an off-the-shelf product.
AerServ worked diligently with WildTangent’s engineering and monetization teams to understand their goals and needs for a successful launch. AerServ supported WildTangent with new ad network connections, dedicated engineering, customized reporting and more.
“We couldn’t be more excited to partner with WildTangent in an effort to monetize their mobile audience. At AerServ, we view our customers as partners, not just numbers. We work extremely hard to ensure their needs and monetization goals are met,” said Josh Speyer, CEO of AerServ.
Historically, the majority of mobile ad spend has originated from other apps and games looking to increase installs. As the mobile advertising market matures, the world’s largest brands are shifting ad budgets to mobile, and app developers are hungry to align themselves with these brands. WildTangent selected AerServ as a mobile monetization partner due, in part, to the company’s focus on bringing high quality brand advertising into games. AerServ brought WildTangent high quality brand campaigns from advertisers including, but not limited to, Pandora, AT&T, Axe and Wal-Mart.
“AerServ has been a great partner for us,” said Sean Vanderdasson, CRO of WildTangent. “Their team is extremely responsive and helpful, and our results have been fantastic. We love the focus on brand ads, and the transparency from their mediation platform — we’ve seen great gains in our monetization.”
AerServ’s mobile video SSP and mediation platform enables customers to manage all aspects of their mobile advertising business. The AerServ platform gives publishers the ability to mediate first party ad network relationships through API, tag or SDK, setup private marketplaces via OpenRTB or tap into hundreds of brand buyers in the aerMarket ad exchange. The platform is full of features to drive publisher efficiencies and incremental revenue, including programmatic optimization of ad sources, simultaneous ad calls, real-time reporting, server-side configuration and much more.
